Practice...So essential
in golf. But how do you find the time
to fit it in ?
Golf, like many things in life, takes time, energy (and
money.) I've written about putting
indoors throughout the winter, but it's really easy to get some putting
practice in during the summer. Just keep
your clubs in the trunk of your car and anytime you find yourself in the vicinity
of a public golf course with a few minutes to spare, stop and putt (and maybe
even chip) for a few minutes. It's a
great stress-reliever in the middle of a busy day.
But here's my favorite practice tip: For anyone who has either a backyard or a
backyard deck, simply keep a spare club nearby so that you can practice your
swing (as opposed to making a trip to the driving range to hit balls). When
I'm just swinging the club and not thinking about hitting a ball, I'm able to
focus more on the fundamentals of my swing.
If you have a way to elevate yourself off the ground (a deck, swimming
pool, etc.), you don't have to think about hitting the ground and can just
swing away AND when I swing off a deck or even better, a swimming pool, I become
extremely aware of my balance-it's an awesome way to gain some awareness of
what's going on in my swing, especially my follow-thru/finish. I try to grab any opportunity I can get to
put a golf club into my hands and feel that sweet rhythm of my golf swing. Try it
and email me at Jayn@WickedEasyGolf.com

Hope you're enjoying this great
summer we're having, Jayn
